From Sea to Shining Sea on the WEST COAST

A grand time was had by all when we presented From Sea to Shining Sea in Pacific City, Oregon – just 30 miles to the north of our beach home in Lincoln City, Oregon.  Friends, students and acquaintances from far and near filled the pews of the Nestucca Valley Presbyterian Church for the Labor Day weekend performance.  Generously supported by donations from the Nestucca Valley Presbyterian Church, the Neskowin Chamber Music Series, the Pacific City Arts Association and private donors, all proceeds collected at the concert were donated to the Tillamook County Habitat for Humanity and Food Bank.

It was truly a joy to present our event in the lovely new sanctuary of Nestucca Valley Presbyterian Church and play their fine new organ.  Margaret Slagle was a great hostess in this lovely little Oregon beach town.  It was wonderful to present From Sea to Shining Sea just blocks from the “western-most sea” near where Oregon’s first pipe organ, a Hook and Hastings from Massachusetts made its way through dense forested terrain via oxcart in 1886.
